Aurora Regino sent her daughter to elementary school and the school sent home a “son.”

An elementary school guidance counselor facilitated the social transition (from girl to boy) of Aurora’s 5th grade daughter.

The school started calling this young girl by a male name, male pronouns…

…without notifying Aurora or getting her consent.

No phone call home. No email to mom. Nothing.

That is why the Center for American Liberty sued school officials on Aurora’s behalf.

And that is why I’m asking for your help today. ([link removed])

For the second time now, a federal district court dismissed this case concluding Aurora’s constitutional rights weren’t violated.

The first time this happened we appealed to the 9^th Circuit Court of Appeals and won because the lower court had applied the wrong legal standards to the case.

Then the case went back down to the same federal district court.

Unfortunately, even with instruction from the appellate court on the appropriate legal standards to apply, the district court still came to the wrong conclusion.

Now, her case is headed back to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

But this appeal is going to take months to litigate and considerable resources.

We need to raise $25,000 to fund this case through oral argument.

John, it is shocking to me that anyone could conclude that Aurora’s parental rights weren’t violated.

It is so clear.

Schools require permission slips before showing a movie in the classroom or giving a child Tylenol.

Yet courts are getting it wrong when it comes to this intersection between parental rights and gender transitions for kids.

Through Aurora’s case, the Center for American Liberty is taking an important stand for parental rights.

And the goal is to create case precedence empowering parents to protect their kids from dangerous gender transitions in school.
