Last year, Republicans in Congress voted to provide ICE with around $75 billion through Trump’s Big Ugly Bill, making them one of the highest-funded federal law enforcement agencies. How did they pay for it? By slashing funding for healthcare and food assistance programs. Now, the GOP wants to further fund this violent and rogue agency, and I voted NO on the funding bill.

If Republicans cared about the American people, they would repeal the additional funding that ICE received and put it back into SNAP.

We can’t continue to let ICE commit abuses with no accountability, no respect for the law, and no regard for civil rights. And we can’t continue to let right-wing Republicans get away with putting Trump’s tariff taxes on the American people, making healthcare premiums skyrocket, and forcing families to go hungry.

The Republican agenda is completely backwards – prioritizing agencies that terrorize our communities over the well-being of our communities. It’s disgusting.
