Major Save Women's Sports Victory for Texas female athlete Brooke Slusser!!

Texas Values has been supporting Brooke since last year on this issue!
“I am pleased that the Department of Education is stating what we know to be true: men do not belong in women’s sports or women’s private spaces. The Department has full authority to hold the coaches and staff accountable for allowing this clear violation of Title IX to take place. Title IX was passed over 50 years ago to guarantee that women can have the equal opportunity to compete in sports and to also feel safe in sex separated locker rooms and sleeping spaces. What Brook Slusser had to go through was unconscionable! Allowing a man to masquerade as a female college athlete caused emotional and physical harm to the female athletes at San Jose State. The mask is off and San Jose State University must face the truth.” - Mary Elizabeth Castle, Director of Government Relations for Texas Values

The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans heard oral arguments last week on the Texas and Louisiana Ten Commandments cases brought by the ACLU.

Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi make up what is considered the 5th Circuit. The entire court of 17 active judges will decide this case. Members of the Texas Values law and policy team were present holding a Press Conference at the court hearing in New Orleans. Special Guest Candy Noble, State Representative, District 89, and host Jonathan Saenz, President & Attorney for Texas Values, discuss the Ten Commandments and Pro-family laws championed by Representative Noble.

"They didn’t get to our (the Ten Commandments) bill until 4:30 in the morning…the Texas Values friends were with me the whole time, stayed, testified…and I’m just so grateful for that partnership.

Our founding fathers had it right...It’s time for those to be back in the classroom where they were for about 300 years.

It was unconscionable that my tax dollars and yours would be used to end innocent life. We were able to pass SB 22, it was a major victory.

When you’re at the end of your rope…and you want to know the hope that I have, call me." ~ Rep. Candy Noble
