This is a long but important email about President Trump’s politicization of the Justice Department and the administration’s complete disregard for their legal obligation to release the Epstein files.

Last year, Congress passed legislation instructing the Department of Justice to release the Epstein files. To date, they have released LESS THAN 1% of the files – in violation of the law and standing in the way of justice for the women and girls harmed by Jeffrey Epstein.

They claim it’s because they need more time…

But then just yesterday, we witnessed the Department of Justice raid an elections warehouse in Georgia – the one at the center of Trump’s widely debunked conspiracy theories about the 2020 election.

So I’ve got to ask: how the hell does the Justice Department have time to pursue Trump’s dangerous claims about an election he lost – SIX YEARS AGO – but not time to fulfill their legal and moral obligation to victims of Jeffrey Epstein?

I refuse to let the administration get away with this. We need to keep up the pressure to pursue the truth and hold those in power responsible.

And if my Republican colleagues don’t have the spine to stand up to this administration that has gone so far off the rails, then we’ve got to do everything in our power to flip the balance of power in November.
