The masked goons who call themselves “ICE” are terrorizing our
communities,
and it’s got to stop. 

Last week they detained five year old Liam Ramos. Over the weekend, six
ICE agents held down and killed Alex Pretti for holding a camera in his
hand. This is Donald Trump’s America, and the blood of every life lost
because of ICE is on this Administration’s hands.

I want to be VERY clear: When the DHS funding bill hit the Senate floor
today, I voted NO — not another penny for ICE. 

We are in an affordability crisis. While folks struggle to put food on the
table and find healthcare coverage, Republicans are misappropriating their
taxpayer dollars to fund the killing of Americans. 

We are also in an accountability crisis. The people allowing this terror
and committing these acts of violence aren’t held accountable whatsoever
for violating the law.

I urge all of my Republican colleagues to stand up to this Administration
and say, no more. No more killing innocent Americans on the streets. No
more funding for this lawless organization. 

Every Senator owes it to the American people to speak out on the
atrocities ICE is committing. We cannot give more power to Kristi Noem and
Donald Trump to reign terror on our communities. 

The right side of history here is obvious, and I will continue to use my
voice and position to do what’s best for America and Maryland.
