Friend,
We hope you are having a good week. We are reaching out because like many of you we have been thinking about the tone of our political conversations lately.
During a recent tele-town hall Governor Pillen chose to use derogatory and offensive language to describe those who disagree with him. When later asked about these comments Pillen refused to address them directly or take responsibility.
Nebraska deserves better than this kind of division.
Lynne Walz believes that being Governor means being a leader for all Nebraskans. Her life has been defined by showing up for others as a teacher, a daycare owner, and an advocate for people with developmental disabilities. Those roles taught her that leadership starts with listening and treating every person with respect. She understands that we cannot solve our state's challenges if we are too busy name-calling and bullying our neighbors. Today we are facing our most important milestone yet: our first fundraising deadline since officially launching this campaign.
We have set a goal of raising $10,000 by the end of the month to prove that Nebraskans are ready for leadership built on respect instead of noise. This is our first real test to see if we have the resources to take this message of decency across the entire state.
Will you chip in $10, $25, or $50 today to help us reach our $10,000 end-of-month goal and stand up for a better Nebraska?
If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will be processed immediately.
Let's get back to work and build a state where everyone feels heard.
With gratitude,
Team Walz |
