Two members of Congress were attacked this past week following threats explicitly linked to Trump’s deportation rhetoric.

Last night in Minneapolis, Rep. Ilhan Omar was attacked when a man rushed the podium and sprayed her with something from a syringe.

Days earlier in Utah, Rep. Maxwell Frost was attacked by a man who punched him after shouting that Trump would deport him.

Neither Ilhan Omar nor Maxwell Frost are willing to be cowed.

Maxwell Frost posted to supporters: “We are in scary times… Do not let these people silence you. Onwards.”

Ilhan Omar continued speaking at the town hall for 25 minutes after being attacked, and tweeted after the event: “I don’t let bullies win.”
