Last night while speaking at a town hall with her constituents, Congresswoman Ilhan Omar was assaulted and sprayed with an “unknown substance.”

This comes as the Trump administration and MAGA extremists continue to unleash racist attacks about the Congresswoman and Minnesota’s Somali community at large.

Lauren Boebert is chief among those extremists spearheading attacks against Omar and helped foment the attempted assination attempt we saw last night.

Boebert has an obsession with the Illhan Omar. For years, she has labeled Omar a “jihadi,” has pushed the racist conspiracy theory that Omar married her brother, and even tried earlier this year to get her removed from Congress.

But the most insidious part of it all, is that Boebert likely isn’t surprised this happened at all, in fact, it’s likely her exact aim.

It’s the classic MAGA extremist playbook: Not so subtle racist dogwhistles to foment violence in the streets, blame Democrats for the chaos, and then wipe their hands clean of any accountability.

It’s time to close the book on elected leaders like Boebert who only know how to fan the flames of chaos and are totally inept when it comes to helping the working-people they are elected to serve.

That’s why Boebert is more vulnerable than she has ever been. She is only in Congress because of 546 votes and last time Democrat Trisha Calvarese ran against her, she had the best performance any Democrat has ever had in the district’s history, outperforming Kamala Harris by 6 points.

Now Trisha is going to finish the job in 2026 and we just outraised Boebert by a million.
