Tonight, you heard two very different versions of South Carolina. One was built on charts, rankings, and talking points meant to tell you everything is fine. The other was rooted in reality.
The real state of our state is showing up at kitchen tables where families are choosing between rent and groceries. It’s parents deciding whether they can afford school supplies or life saving medication. It’s rural communities watching hospitals close and roads crumble while politicians congratulate themselves for doing nothing.
After twenty two years of total Republican control, South Carolina ranks near the bottom where it matters most. Our schools are underperforming, our infrastructure is unsafe, and our homicide rate is among the highest in the nation. Those outcomes are not accidents. They are the result of deliberate choices made by people who have held all the power.
I’ll state the obvious: If current leadership truly cared about working people, they would have fixed public education, raised wages, strengthened healthcare… hell, even just fixed the roads.
But instead, with all this power, they’ve chosen not to act. So it’s time to vote them out.
If we’re honest about the challenges in front of us and serious about fixing them, a better future is within reach for every family in this state. If we join together, real change is possible - and this November we have the chance to build a new South Carolina that works for all of us. Please join our campaign by chipping in any amount you can.
Thanks so much,
Jermaine
