While Donald Trump and his Republican accomplices create chaos in Washington, the consequences for working families are real: a widening wealth gap and a rising cost of living that's becoming increasingly unaffordable.
This month is a perfect example. ACA premiums have spiked after Republicans let critical healthcare subsidies expire. Now enrollment is declining sharply across the country — including here in CA-25 — leaving more people vulnerable and without access to life-saving care.
I'm fighting to make healthcare more affordable and accessible, but that starts with building our campaign strength right now so we can hold strong in November and take back the House.

The son of hardworking farmworkers, Dr. Ruiz grew up in Coachella, CA and learned at an early age that the key to attaining the American Dream is hard work and a great education. In the summer of 1990, Raul walked in the desert heat from business to business in the Coachella Valley asking them to invest in their community by contributing to his education. With each investment for college, he made a promise to come back home and serve his community as a physician. In 2012, he decided to take his service to the community to the next level by running for Congress. Dr. Ruiz needs our help to continue fighting for us in Congress.
