This wasn't an accident. Republicans chose this:

Senate Republicans killed the bill to extend subsidies. Speaker Mike Johnson refused to bring it up for a vote until it was too late. Trump cheered it on — and now he's pretending a one-page publicity stunt is the answer.

And here's the kicker: These same Republicans swore up and down they'd never gut health care. They looked voters in the eye and promised to protect coverage.

Republicans bet that we'd forget, or that voters wouldn't connect the dots between their lies and people losing coverage.

They were wrong.
