New York Calls for a Halt on Data CentersAs the profit-hungry data industry expands nationwide, it’s turned its attention to New York. Governor Hochul recently laid out a vague roadmap for data center construction — but we don’t even know if they can be operated responsibly at all. More than 50+ New York organizations joined our call for a national halt to new data centers, and we’ll keep fighting to keep these facilities out of the state until we have protections for our communities.
