A quick note from our Chair, Annette:
The movie The Librarians was shown for free last night at the Center for the Arts to a sold-out crowd. Not only did the film deliver a powerful message but the panel afterwards gave us a chance to understand the ramifications on a Jackson level. Thank you to the people who participated.
If there was ever a moment to galvanize, this is it. I don't need to state the obvious that our democracy is under severe threat. Name anything you care about and sadly I can point to the ways we are losing this fight. Healthcare, environment, justice, education and quality of life.
Better Wyoming is offering us the opportunity to choose advocacy and bring truth to power. Tonight, they are hosting an advocacy session at the library at 6:00.
Please come if you are free.
Below is a great summary of the movie. Plus tell anyone who hasn't seen it that it was be running on PBS Feb 9th in the Independent Lens segment.

Executive Committee update
Your executive committee has been hard at work making connections within our community at large, and linking up with the executive committees from other counties, most recently the Fremont County Dems ([link removed]) . We will be working together to make sure we have a strong base to support our local and state candidates, to beat the Freedom Caucus out of Wyoming. We will be reaching out to other counties as well, simply because there is not only strength in numbers, but also to work together towards a better, stronger Wyoming!
Get involved! We are in the process of forming multiple committees to tackle the many pressing issues facing the many and varied communities of Wyoming. From wildlife to housing, gender discussions to book banning, we will be tackling it all. Email ([link removed]) or call us at (307) 264-0240 (tel:+13072640240)
