MAGGIE'S LIST ANNOUNCES FOUR MORE ENDORSEMENTS
Maggie’s List has endorsed four more women in their 2026 races: two for the U.S. House of Representatives and two for governor.
The new endorsements are Rep. Laurel Lee, running for re-election in FL-15; Col. Laurie Buckhout, running for NC-1; Vicki Schmidt, running for Kansas governor; and Stacy Garrity, running for Pennsylvania governor. These four join 24 previously endorsed candidates, for a total of 28 endorsements so far for 2026.
CONGRESSIONAL ENDORSEMENTS
Maggie’s List has endorsed Rep. Laurel Lee for re-election in Florida’s 15th Congressional District, the third time it has endorsed the congresswoman.
“For the past three years, Rep. Lee has advanced commonsense, results-driven solutions in Washington focused on creating jobs, limiting government overreach, strengthening border security, and reinforcing America’s economic and national security,” said Maggie’s List Chairman Sandra Mortham. “Both times this former Florida secretary of state, judge, and federal prosecutor has previously run to represent Florida’s 15th Congressional District, Maggie’s List has supported her, and both times she has won. We’re confident she will do so again in 2026.”
Maggie’s List has endorsed Col. Laurie Buckhout for North Carolina’s 1st Congressional District, the second time it has done so.
“I’m honored to have Maggie’s List’s support again as I work to flip NC-1,” said Col. Buckhout. “I’ve spent my life serving: leading soldiers in combat and building a business from the ground up. Now I’m ready to bring that same fighting spirit to Congress to deliver conservative leadership for hardworking families. Maggie’s List is making a real difference by electing principled conservative women across the country, and I’m proud to stand with them.”
“Retired Army Colonel Laurie Buckhout has it all: extensive military leadership, business acumen, a commitment to conservative principles, and a newly favorable district,” said Maggie’s List North Carolina Chairwoman Susan Mills. “She is a decorated combat commander and recently served as the Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Cyber Policy in the Trump administration. Her platform reflects her life’s work: supporting veterans, improving national security, and practicing fiscal responsibility. Both North Carolina and the United States as a whole will benefit from her effective leadership.”
GUBERNATORIAL ENDORSEMENTS
Maggie’s List has endorsed Vicki Schmidt for Kansas governor.
“Maggie’s List knows the value of having a Republican woman at the table to help ensure fiscal responsibility, limited government and affordability,” said Schmidt. “Kansas has a storied history of Republican women leaders, and I am proud to carry the torch forward with the support of the hardworking Republican women who make up Maggie’s List.”
“Vicki currently serves as Kansas Insurance Commissioner, as in that role has returned over $145 million to Kansas families and lowered the cost of doing business by over $75 million,” said Maggie’s List Kansas Chairwoman Becky Johnson. “In both her election and re-election campaigns, she received the highest vote count statewide for any office. She has spent her life serving Kansans as a local pharmacist and as an advocate for better health coverage. I’ve known Vicki for many years, and Kansas will be a better place with her serving as our governor.”
Maggie’s List has also endorsed Stacy Garrity for Pennsylvania governor.
“In 2020, Stacy Garrity, a statewide unknown, decided to step into the political arena and ended up defeating our Democratic incumbent state treasurer in a surprise upset,” said Maggie’s List Pennsylvania Chairwoman Jackie Kulback. “When she won re-election in 2024, she set the record for the most votes cast for any candidate in Commonwealth history – smashing the previous record held by Gov. Josh Shapiro, her 2026 opponent.
“Stacy’s background as a decorated Army Reserve Colonel, serving over 30 years with three deployments during the Gulf and Iraq War, gave her the personal fortitude to campaign across the state,” Kulback continued. “Her experience as a successful executive in the metals industry prepared to become the State Treasurer of Pennsylvania. She oversees over $100 billion in assets and she makes the tough decisions. She has streamlined many processes, launched a transparency portal called OpenBookPA, created Pennsylvania Money Match to streamline the return of small dollar assets to their rightful owners, and has divested of Russian and Chinese holdings while increasing investments in Israel.”
These four endorsements bring the number of Maggie’s List 2026 endorsements to 28 – four U.S. Senate races, nineteen U.S. House races, and five statewide races.
