(UPDATE: 1-27-26) City of Harker Heights will have a delayed opening of Non-Essential Offices tomorrow. City Hall and other administrative offices won’t open until 9 am tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28, 2026.

Emergency services, as well as the Streets and Water Departments, are fully operational to ensure public safety and continuity of critical services.

The VFW/City of Harker Heights Warming Center, located at 201 VFW Drive, will reopen this evening at 10pm to serve those in need. If you would like to volunteer/serve to help them, please contact the VFW at 254-213-3350
