| Friend,
Last night, Pete shared a longer message reflecting on the last few days and underscored something important: even in moments that feel bleak or exhausting, people who step forward, speak up, and refuse to disengage make a difference. Political pressure works.
You can watch it here:
Watch
It has been a difficult few weeks. But what we’re seeing is a reminder that you are not powerless in this moment.
When people raise their voices, institutions must respond. Congressional Republicans are calling for investigations into this administration’s abuse of power. A top Customs and Border Patrol commander has been sidelined. Even President Trump is showing signs of backing down. There is still a long way to go to stop the abuses from this administration, but none of these developments happened by accident – it happened because thousands and thousands of people applied pressure.
And we’ve seen this before. Congressional Republicans are breaking with Trump on the Epstein files. In Indiana, a state with a Republican supermajority, legislators rejected a Trump-backed effort to rig congressional maps. When people engage, the ground shifts.
That’s the lesson: you don’t have to wait until Election Day to make a difference. Every phone call. Every local meeting. Every conversation. Every post. Every time you choose to stay engaged instead of tuning out, it matters.
Pete will keep doing his part: using his platform to press leaders on urgent issues, showing up in red, blue, and purple communities alike, and supporting the next generation of leadership ready to rebuild trust in our politics.
Thank you for joining us in that work. We’re glad you’re here.
