Dear Friend,
January is National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month, a moment to confront a frightening reality that too often goes unseen, especially for children.
Around the world, children are still being bought and sold. Between 2020 and 2023, national authorities identified more than 202,000 trafficking victims globally — 38 percent of them children. Each number represents a child whose safety, freedom and future are at risk.
While awareness is a critical first step, protecting children requires sustained action. With support from donors like you, UNICEF works with partners year-round to fight child trafficking and protect children at risk. Learn more about how this work happens and how you can support it. |
