3. LA Wildfires Response: One Year Later
One year after wildfires scorched more than 37,000 acres across Los Angeles County, Americares is still partnering with local organizations to deliver critical health resources and support survivors.
When the fires hit last year, Americares responded immediately: deploying mobile clinics, delivering medicine and N95 masks, distributing hygiene kits and clean water, providing mental health support and delivering $1 million in cash assistance to families who lost homes or income. This vital work continues as we help communities prepare for the growing threat of wildfires and build toward a healthier, more resilient future. |
