FRC is rebuilding America's spiritual foundations for the next 250 years.

Dear John,

Do you know what is behind the troubling and chaotic events that are unfolding in Minnesota? Is there more to the fraud, protests, violence, and even the tragic loss of life that we've seen over the last few weeks?

As a former law enforcement officer, I am deeply disturbed by the chaos and breakdown of order we're seeing on our streets, but I know this is more than a confrontation over corruption and illegal immigration.

We are witnessing what happens when a society abandons God's Word as the final authority, and justice becomes impossible to define -- let alone enforce.

Without an objective standard of right and wrong, on what basis can we condemn violence, lawlessness, or injustice?

This is the fruit of moral and spiritual decay that has been decades in the making.

The removal of prayer and references to God from our schools in the 1960s set us on this path. As Speaker Mike Johnson recently reminded leaders in the United Kingdom -- echoing President Abraham Lincoln -- "The philosophy of the schoolroom in one generation is the philosophy of government in the next."

When children are taught that there is no higher authority than themselves -- or that power is the ultimate moral principle -- we should not be surprised when law and order collapse.

That's why Family Research Council is focused on advancing public policy that doesn't just confront the symptoms we are seeing now, but addresses the heart of the problem and rebuilds our nation's spiritual foundations.

By partnering with us today, you can equip lawmakers to defend religious liberty, champion legislation that honors America's Judeo-Christian heritage, and engage millions with news and commentary grounded in a biblical worldview.

STAND FOR TRUTH WITH FRC

Last week, I attended oral arguments before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in Roake v. Brumley, a case challenging Louisiana's law requiring the Ten Commandments to be displayed in public school classrooms.

Family Research Council filed a major amicus brief defending the law -- and in a rare occurrence during oral arguments, the Louisiana Solicitor General specifically pointed to our brief as a powerful counterargument to the case being made by the challengers of the statute.

Nearly 250 years after America's founding, we have forgotten what many of the Founders understood clearly: God's law is the necessary moral foundation for man's law. As that foundation erodes, so does the freedom of conscience they sacrificed so much to secure.

This is not a small or abstract fight.

If you don't believe me, just look at what happened in St. Paul, Minnesota last week. Protestors stormed a church during a Sunday service because one of its lay elders works for Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE).

If generations have been taught that there is no God, no absolute truth, and morality is how you define it, then why should the First Amendment matter, let alone the Ten Commandments?

FRC is working to repair the damage of past decades and ensure the next generation understands our Judeo-Christian heritage -- by defending God's law in the courts, so they can be read and understood in public school classrooms and elsewhere.

And through your support we are doing even more: distributing our God & Government video series to educate the next generation about America's spiritual heritage and the biblical responsibility of Christians in America, documenting threats to people of faith in our Hostility Against Churches report, educating lawmakers on emerging dangers to religious liberty, and filing other powerful amicus briefs to defend biblical truth wherever it comes under attack.

By giving today, you can help continue this essential work on Capitol Hill, in the courts, in churches, and across the country -- standing for truth in an age that desperately needs it.

I STAND WITH FRC

As we pray for peace, wisdom, and truth to prevail in Minnesota and across America, let us also labor together to restore our spiritual foundations.

I am reminded of the words of John Adams, when he warned: "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

Government action may restore temporary order -- but it cannot heal our nation's moral crisis. Lasting change requires repentant hearts and a return to God's Word as the only sure foundation of truth and justice.

Isaiah 33:22 reminds us, "For the Lord is our judge; the Lord is our lawgiver; the Lord is our king; he will save us."

With your partnership, Family Research Council will continue to defend religious liberty, equip believers, and proclaim the truth of God's Word for future generations.
