John,
Over the past few days and weeks, every American has witnessed Trump and his enablers deploying ICE as a weapon of terror against immigrant communities and the citizens who bravely defend them.
Here in the Central Valley, the impact of ICE roaming through our streets isn’t abstract or political -- it’s deeply personal.
Many of our communities live in constant fear because they know that the color of their skin makes it dangerous just to leave their home.
And right when we need our leaders to stand up for us the most, many of them are choosing silence or soaring speeches instead of using their power to protect our neighbors.
We deserve leaders who will fight for us like our lives depend on it. Because whether it’s in the Central Valley or Minnesota, they do.
My heart is with the family and friends of the two courageous Americans killed by ICE - Alex Pretti and Renee Good, and with every one of you who is in this fight with me, especially when it’s not easy.
In solidarity,
Randy
