Dear friend,
Our report, Hear Us, Believe Us, found that 84% of Black parents and caregivers believe it is important that their child attend and graduate from college. |
Black parents are deeply invested in their child’s education—yet gaps in opportunity, low percentages of African American administrators and teachers in schools, and other issues create significant barriers within our K-12 students’ schools, but UNCF is working to help students overcome those barriers. |
Our collective voice and action are essential for enduring change. UNCF is committed to providing the support that students and HBCUs need, and now we need your voice. |
For over 80 years, UNCF has fought to open opportunities for students to build promising futures and for HBCUs to stand as pillars of the community. |
P.S. We want to hear from you! Has a Black teacher impacted your life in a positive way? Tell us! How should we recruit and retain more Black teachers? Let us know! Have a promising program that is working to support and recruit Black teachers? Uplift it! We want to hear from Black parents. Your voice is important! Record your video here.
