I'm running for Congress because our neighbors deserve a representative who will fight for working families, not his own bank account. As Mayor of Scranton for the past six years and through my work across government, I've dedicated my career to helping people in Northeastern Pennsylvania build better lives and trust their government again.

But right now, we have a representative who is voting to gut vital programs while giving tax breaks to billionaires. Even worse? He’s trading stocks in the same industries he regulates, after running for Congress promising to ban congressional stock trading. He’s saying one thing and doing another.

In my first run for Mayor I ran as an Independent against corrupt local Democrats — they called it “Paige Against The Machine.” We shocked the political establishment and won, and I took on powerful people to clean up City Hall and build a government that works for everyone.

The people of Pennsylvania's 8th District deserve a representative with the fight to actually help people — not someone trading stocks for personal profit while voting against the interests of the people.
