**Register for the telephone town hall here**

Dear Friends,

Tomorrow night, I will be hosting a telephone town hall on ICE at 6:00 PM. You can register and submit a question in advance HERE

Federal agents in Minneapolis have now killed two American citizens just this month - Renee Good and Alex Pretti. The culture of lawlessness must end. Accountability starts at the top. That is why I filed articles of impeachment against Secretary Noem earlier this month.

We’ve seen ICE in our communities in Connecticut, where armed, masked agents raided car washes in Newington and Southingtonprotesters were struck by a vehicle in Hartford, and an Afghan refugee was detained in an unmarked van at his green card appointment in East Hartford.

When Republican leadership brought the Department of Homeland Security bill to fund ICE to the House floor last week, I voted no because it failed to rein in the culture of lawlessness at ICE – authorizing more funding for the agency without reforms that include warrant requirements, use of force standards, body cameras, and limits on raids at schools, hospitals, and places of worship. This week, the Senate is expected to vote on the same bill.

I have heard concerns from many of you about the impact of ICE’s actions across the country. Congress needs to act to hold ICE and Secretary Noem accountable. I hope you will join me tomorrow night to discuss this important issue. I look forward to having you on the line.
