We all deserve to feel safe in our communities, to be safe in our communities. And yet, ICE, Border Patrol agents, and other masked federal agents are making our communities unsafe – like we’ve seen in Minneapolis, like we’ve seen across the whole country.

The House of Representatives have already passed this bill with Republicans voting for it, and seven Democrats voted for it too.
For the record, I would have voted no on this bill. History has proven that bargaining with extremists doesn’t work. We don’t need another representative who will go to Congress and negotiate on your rights and safety. The only option for leaders right now is to loudly and unapologetically speak up and speak out against what’s going on. Full stop. No negotiations with extremists. No throwing more money at the problem.
Now this funding bill goes to the Senate and they need 60 votes to pass it. We need to call our Senators and tell them to vote no, because we all deserve to feel and be safe in our communities.
