![]() Some say that Congress grinds to a halt once an election year officially kicks off. Although, it’s not as if Washington was accomplishing much of anything helpful last year either… In an election year, the conventional wisdom in Congress is to hunker down and hold off on actual legislating until after the election. But that’s not how I do things. I’m in this job to get things done and make life easier for Kansas families — even when there are countless obstacles in front of us. Yes, passing good legislation is difficult right now. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try. It doesn’t mean we should just sit on our hands, stay quiet, and allow National Republicans to dictate what Congress is focused on. I’m going to spend every waking hour making sure your concerns aren’t ignored in Congress. And in order to do that, I need to know what issues are top-of-mind for you and your family.
