I am a mom, a Lutheran minister, and a State Senator. I have spent my life showing up for people, whether that meant walking into hospital rooms as a chaplain, working in nonprofit service, or listening to constituents across Iowa as their elected representative.

I ran for office because I saw too many families being left behind by politics that felt distant and disconnected from their lives.

In the State Senate, I have worked to lower costs, protect public education, and stand up for Iowa families.

Now I am running for Congress to bring that same approach to Washington.

This campaign is about listening, showing up, and doing the work. It is about representing people who deserve to be heard and treated with respect.
