SMALL BUSINESS ROUNDTABLE: DE-MYSTIFY AI

Wednesday, January 28 I 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. I Virtual

In this session, Brendan Reece from Mosaic Consulting Group will explore Artificial Intelligence (AI) and focus on how to utilize it for small and mid-sized businesses. Attendees will learn how to think about AI in practical terms, map everyday business problems to the right tools, and see real examples of low-risk automations that can be implemented immediately, including creative generation, email and document handling, CRM updates, and content creation.

The session will demystify AI agents: what they are, what they aren’t, and when they actually make sense. It will also look ahead at what’s coming for SMBs over the next 12–24 months in AI and how business owners can position themselves to stay competitive.

Registration is free for members.

SHARE YOUR FEEDBACK ON ARLINGTON COUNTY'S FISCAL YEAR 2027 BUDGET

Arlington County is inviting public input on its Fiscal Year 2027 budget, and the business community’s perspective is essential. The County’s budget survey is open through Friday, January 30 and will help inform the County Manager as he prepares his proposed budget. The draft budget will be released in late February, with final adoption by the County Board in April.

The Chamber strongly encourages members to participate by completing the survey. The Chamber opposes any proposed County revenue increases that are directed on businesses, including increases to the Business Tangible Personal Property Tax, the Business, Professional and Licensing (BPOL) Tax, or the meals tax. The Chamber additionally opposes increases to permitting fees.

We urge all members to complete the survey and use the open-ended question at the end to share their experiences and priorities. Early input can help shape decisions before the budget is finalized.
