London elections matter – renew your postal vote

The local elections in May really will matter here in London.

From Council Tax levels to bin collections, parking charges and local services, the decisions made at the Council affect your everyday life.

But unless you act now, you could lose your chance to vote by post.

If you applied for a permanent postal vote on or before 30 January 2024, you must renew your application by 31 January to keep receiving postal ballots automatically.

You’ll need:

- Your name


- Your National Insurance number


- A clear image of your signature



Across the country, we’ve seen councils driven into financial chaos, services cut, and residents hit with ever-higher bills — including here in London.

In London, years of waste, poor decisions and weak accountability have left residents paying more and getting less.
