ThisTuesday, as we mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we are confronted with the reality that remembrance alone is notenough. “Never Again” must be more than words – it must be a resolve to act.

<[link removed]>TAKE ACTION <[link removed]>This responsibility belongs to all of us and to our political leaders, especially as Parliament resumes this week.

International Holocaust Remembrance Day is a call to action: to remember the past and honour the victims, but also to protect our future by responding, with urgency and determination, to the alarming resurgence of antisemitism and violent extremism.

For many in our community, especially those with family connections to the Shoah, there is grave concern about what happens when good people fail to confront these dangers.

In Australia, the UK, the U.S., and an increasing number of places just like Canada, we have seen the deadly consequences of unchecked hate, radicalization, and violence. 

As we saw in Sydney, we are one intelligence failure away from a devastating loss of life. 

That is why government action is needed now, before tragedy strikes.

Urge Prime Minister Carney to take six critical measures to safeguard our country.
