It's a snow day. The perfect time to get involved in a local campaign!
Dear neighbor,
As we wake up with a fresh coat of snow and a bit of shoveling ahead of us, I’m still buzzing from our amazing re-election kick-off party on Friday night (more photos on Instagram). Hundreds of neighbors came together to celebrate all that we’ve done and outline a vision of a city we want to fight for. It was a great night to bring folks together and prove that now, more than ever, we need the type of tested and trusted leadership I deliver to Ward 6 and our city.
I’m asking for your support right now to keep the momentum going. Our next fundraising deadline is in six days, and I need you to chip in now if you're with me. Whether $10, $25, or maxing out at $50 – it makes a big difference and gets matched 5-to-1 as a Fair Elections candidate! Your contribution is how we run a winning campaign and reach voters in every part of Ward 6.
I’m running for re-election because my vision for DC is a city where working families can make a living and call it home. I want a safe and reliable Metro system built for the city we can and should be. I'll keep fighting back against Trump’s efforts to attack our neighbors and DC Home Rule. And so much more.
I know how to focus and win on the issues, big and small. Whether it’s the sidewalk repair or missed trash collection, fighting to get someone the healthcare they need, or leading our city with bold ideas for the future to take on our most pressing issues, I’ve delivered. And now I’m counting on you.
Stay warm and safe in the snow, and I hope to see you again soon,
P.S. Before the party started on Friday, I filed my official candidacy with the DC Board of Elections and now need to collect hundreds of signatures from Ward 6 voters over the next few weeks to put my name on the June ballot. Can you help me out by getting just 10 of your friends and neighbors to sign?Click here or just reply to this email, and we’ll get you connected with our Organizing Director.`
