"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
– Joshua 1:9
South Asia
Praise God for nine survivors of bonded labor who recently won local elections in one of the states where we work. These three men and six women once suffered in silence—today they are standing up for their communities and for the rights of vulnerable families. It’s amazing to see them run for elections with pride and to win the confidence of their neighbors. Pray for their leadership as they oversee village and town issues like roads, water, schooling and economic empowerment opportunities.
Africa & Europe
Please pray for a Kenyan family who has been pursuing justice after their loved one, Paul, was murdered, and we thank God for the progress made last month through the work of the IJM Kenya. The High Court sentenced two perpetrators to 10 years in prison each, marking an important step toward accountability and closure. Pray for comfort and healing for his wife and relatives who faithfully attended each hearing and for continued strength for the teams supporting them.
Latin America
Join us in praying for the 25 survivor group members in El Salvador who recently graduated through the International Justice Mission and Universidad Gerardo Barrios training program. Pray for wisdom and courage as these leaders continue advocacy and education efforts and for strong partnerships with justice officials and community institutions. Pray also for lasting hope and healing for every survivor and that these groups will thrive as they move toward full autonomy.
Asia Pacific
We lift up Cambodia and Thailand and ask for lasting peace in the region, especially in the places where IJM teams faithfully serve. We pray that the fragile ceasefire would hold, and that leaders on both sides would pursue stability, safety and justice for the communities most affected. We ask that hope would take root where conflict has caused fear and displacement, and that peace would be protected and strengthened in the weeks ahead.
IJM Global Office & Partners

This January, as we continue to observe Human Trafficking Awareness Month, we pray specifically for survivors of trafficking around the globe. We ask God to bring deep healing, protection, and restoration to every part of their lives. May God’s light break into every place of exploitation, bringing freedom, safety and lasting hope.
The updates we share on survivors or their cases can become sensitive over time. To respect and protect them, please refrain from posting these prayer requests online.
