Dear Neighbor,

Over this past week, my office has received multiple reports of a heavy presence of ICE activity across our district, including in Whittier, La Habra, and Montebello.

I want to remind you that regardless of your immigration status, you have rights. No one should be harassed, detained, or targeted because of their race. My office is closely monitoring the situation and staying in contact with local partners to make sure our community has accurate information and support.

In Congress, I’ve taken action. I voted to block funding for ICE because I will not support giving another dollar to an agency that continues to operate without accountability. I have also cosponsored articles of impeachment against DHS Secretary Kristi Noem because leadership that allows this kind of lawless behavior must be held responsible.
