Here’s my story, team: I grew up the oldest of five siblings in a small town in New Hampshire. My mom was a single mom — a school nurse — who worked incredibly hard for our family. 

When my parents got divorced, money was tight. Life wasn’t always easy, but my mom taught me to pitch in and help others — and never leave anyone behind. She taught me and my siblings what being involved in our community looks like. And she showed us what it means to serve.

Her example is why I ran for Attorney General and Governor in the first place — to show up for people who need someone in their corner.
