Dear Friends,

With Winter Storm Fern moving into South Carolina, I want you to know that my thoughts are with every family across the Third District.

This storm is expected to bring freezing rain, sleet, ice, and snow; conditions we don’t often face in our part of the state. I know many of you are preparing for the possibility of power outages and dangerous roads, and I want to make sure you have the resources you need to stay safe and take care of one another.

Please take a moment to check on neighbors, especially our seniors and anyone who may need a helping hand. In times like these, the strength of our communities shines through in the way we care for each other.

Here are some helpful resources you may need in the coming days:

Preparedness & Emergency Information:
  • SC Emergency Management Division: scemd.org
  • FEMA Winter Safety Tips: ready.gov/winter-ready
Weather & Travel Information:
  • National Weather Service - Greenville/Spartanburg: weather.gov/gsp

If you need help connecting with any of these resources, please don’t hesitate to reach out to my Anderson office at 864-224-7401. While our office cannot provide emergency services, we are here to help however we can.

During severe winter weather, local shelters, hospitals, and community organizations may face increased demand and need extra support, whether it’s donating blood, providing supplies, or volunteering your time.

If you're able, consider reaching out to see how you can help.
Please know that I am praying for your safety and well-being as we face this storm together.

God bless,
