Governor Kelly Announces Over $57M for
Safer Streets and Roads in Kansas

*
TOPEKA* – Governor Laura Kelly today announced fourteen Kansas communities have secured over $45.7 million in federal Infrastructure and Investment Jobs Act (IIJA) funding from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Program.

“The Safe Streets and Roads for All program ensures that our communities have the resources to build, operate, and maintain critical infrastructure, which improves quality of life for all Kansans,” *Governor Laura Kelly said. *“By leveraging federal dollars, and with the Kansas Legislature's bipartisan support of this initiative, we are investing into the future of communities across Kansas.”

Combined with more than $10.8 million in matching funds from the Kansas Infrastructure Hub and Build Kansas Fund and $566,987 in local matching dollars, the total investment into safer streets and roads in Kansas through this round of SS4A grants is over $57 million.
