John, the fight for our community started long before Trump. Let me give you the whole story:
I got my start in New York in the 90s as an affordable housing leader at the Fifth Avenue Committee in Brooklyn. There, I brought neighbors together to stop evictions of seniors and low-income tenants, and to turn abandoned buildings into new homes that people could afford. I learned valuable lessons about building people power from Barbara Bethel, Kali Ndoye, and Darryl King – folks who had every reason to give up, but never did.
On the City Council, I built broad coalitions that 1️⃣ won paid sick leave, 2️⃣ banned stop-and-frisk, 3️⃣ desegregated the middle schools of Brooklyn's District 15, and 4️⃣ brought participatory budgeting to NYC.
Then I became your Comptroller, where I rooted out corruption, grew New York's pension funds to over $300 billion, divested from fossil fuels, and saved 50,000 families from being kicked out of their homes.
John, maybe it's cliche to say out loud, but I truly love New York City. This place is my home — the whole diverse, beautiful tapestry. I'm proud of the years I've dedicated to fighting for it. Now, I'm running for Congress because we need more fighters ( and less folders ) who are ready to stand up to Donald Trump, stop his attacks on Americans, and unrig the crooked economy that brought him to power in the first place.
My campaign has the support of Democratic leaders like Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, city leaders like Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Public Advocate Jumaane Williams, and organizations like UAW Region 9A and the Working Families Party.
Because they know, just like you and I know, that strongly worded letters and high-dollar fundraisers don't cut it during Trump 2.0. I'm ready to fight for our city and our district, but I need your help to make it happen.
John, from congestion pricing to labor organizing to public schools, I've spent decades getting stuff done in our district. I'm running to bring that attitude to Congress, and I'm doing it without accepting contributions from lobbyists & PACs. Can you help me bring our people-powered movement to Washington by chipping in to support my campaign today? [[link removed]]

Brad is an organizer who brings neighbors together to win big fights, and a problem-solver who gets things done.
He’s been fighting for his neighbors for decades – as a dad, a housing organizer, our City Councilmember, and our Comptroller. He’s a proven legislator whose laws deliver for working people. In Congress, he’ll fight for all of us.
Brad is running for Congress because at this urgent moment, we need leaders who will fight, not fold.
Fight against an authoritarian federal government that is abducting our neighbors.
Fight for a New York that is affordable and welcoming for everyone.
Fight for an economy that isn’t stacked against us.
Fight to make government actually deliver on the promise of the American dream.
