It’s official: I have an opponent here in Colorado’s 7th.

I’ll dive into the details in a second — but first and foremost, you should know: I’ve stood up to Donald Trump and his agenda for years… and that’s put a huge political target on my back. Lies, attacks, personal smears, it’s all coming our way very soon.

That’s why I’m reaching out to people like you who know what’s at stake. Can I count on you to chip in to make sure our new opponent knows exactly what he’s up against?

Now that this election is officially underway, there’s no margin for error:

If we miss a fundraising goal? Our opponent will know… and won’t hesitate to exploit it.

If we run this race at half-speed? Our opponent could catch up… and seize all the momentum here in this must-win district.

To put it another way: We need to give this race everything we’ve got. We can’t become overconfident. We can’t resort to half-measures. That is the only way we’re going to win.

This is the most competitive district in Colorado held by a Democrat. And how we respond in the next 24 hours will set the tone for the entire election year.
