** 1. WATCH: šŸ‘£ Today is the 2026 March for Life!
------------------------------------------------------------

Today is the 2026 annual March for Life. As pro-lifers from around the country gather in Washington, D.C., we’re reminded why we continue to stand for life: because every unborn child is made in God’s image and worthy of protection. For years, NC Values has been on the front lines in North Carolina—working toward the day when every unborn life is protected by law and welcomed into life.

While Roe v. Wade has been overturned, there is still much pro-life work to do here in our state. That’s why we keep marching. The March for Life begins with pre-rally coverage at 11:00 AM ET, followed by the Rally at 12:00 PM ET and the March at 1:00 PM ET.

** 2. NCVI: We Filed Our First Amicus Brief of 2026
------------------------------------------------------------

Our 501(c)(3) sister organization, the NC Values Institute has filed its first amicus brief of 2026, stepping in at the U.S. Supreme Court in Mirabelli v. Bonta. This emergency brief urges the Court to lift a Ninth Circuit stay and halt California’s Parental Exclusion Policy, which allows schools to secretly facilitate a child’s gender transition without parental knowledge or consent. The brief defends the fundamental rights of parents and warns against government policies that sideline families and impose ideological mandates in public education.

** 3. NC VALUES: Parents, Help us Protect Girls’ Privacy and Safety in NC By Filing a Title IX Complaint
------------------------------------------------------------

There is a growing threat to girls’ privacy and safety in North Carolina schools, as more girls—even in elementary school—are being forced to share bathrooms and locker rooms with boys. Many girls report feeling intimidated, humiliated, and violated, especially in spaces where they must undress. Title IX was enacted in 1972 to protect women and girls from discrimination in federally funded programs, and the U.S. Department of Education has made clear that these conditions can constitute a Title IX violation. North Carolina parents now have an opportunity to stand up for their daughters and take action to protect their privacy and safety.

** 4. FOX NEWS: Anti-ICE Mob storms Minnesota Church Over Pastor's Alleged Ties to Immigration Enforcement
------------------------------------------------------------

"A mob of anti-ICE agitators stormed a church Sunday in St. Paul, Minnesota, interrupting a worship service after protesters claimed a pastor inside was affiliated with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Video shows agitators chanting 'Justice for Renee Good' inside the sanctuary at Cities Church as the service began, raising concerns among law enforcement and religious leaders about protesters targeting houses of worship amid escalating anti-ICE demonstrations across the Twin Cities."

** 5. CAROLINA JOURNAL: Georgia Joins Federal School Choice Program as NC Veto Override Looms
------------------------------------------------------------

"While North Carolina faces a pending veto override vote on its own measure to embrace the federal government’s new school-choice tax credit scholarship program, Georgia has already stepped forward, becoming the latest state to opt in."

"North Carolina, meanwhile, remains sidelined. A bill designed to opt the Tar Heel State into the program fell prey to the veto pen of Gov. Josh Stein, a Democrat, in August. The fate of that bill now rests on a potential veto override.

Lawmakers have yet to schedule a vote, but successfully overturning the veto would require a three-fifths majority in both chambers of the General Assembly. Such a vote could occur as early as Feb. 9, when the legislature reconvenes in Raleigh."

** Weekly Prayer: Officials
------------------------------------------------------------

LORD, you also have instructed us to pray for our governing officials, and we come to you in the spirit of this petition. We pray for our state government and its executive, legislative, and judicial servants. May they indeed be servants unto the people, and govern in a manner that protects liberty and virtue. In the same spirit, we pray for public servants across our local governments. May they all heed your mandate in Romans 13:4 to be in positions of authority as ā€œGod’s servantā€ and for the ā€œgoodā€ of the public. They govern in what we confess are difficult times. May they plead with you to give them wisdom, and may your grace to govern wisely be poured out on them.

Protect us from the oppression and loss of freedoms that other countries have experienced, and help us to value and preserve freedom, which we know comes only from You.

ā€œI have indeed seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their groaning and have come down to set them free.ā€ Acts 7:34

Amen

Sincerely,

Tami & Team
