But since 2023, Wesley Hunt has missed nearly 1 in 5 votes in the U.S. House — one of the worst attendance records in Congress.

Here’s what Hunt didn’t show up for:

- Veterans’ legislation protecting burial rights and streamlining VA benefits
- Border security measures targeting smuggling routes and enforcement gaps
- ICE enforcement votes making violent crimes against women and children deportable offenses
- Tax relief bills affecting retirement savings and disaster recovery

And it’s getting worse.

From late 2025 through January 2026, Hunt missed over 90% of votes while Congress was in session.

Texans didn’t elect a part-time congressman.
They didn’t send someone to Washington to miss work.

They sent someone to vote.
