Take Action: Demand a NO Vote on Homeland Security Funding
The House has moved forward on an appropriations bill that would continue to allocate billions of dollars to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) without providing meaningful accountability or transparency. This reckless approach puts immigrant communities and communities of color at risk and allows a federal agency to operate without consequence for harm and violence.
The Senate must VOTE NO on this bill. Lawmakers cannot continue business as usual while DHS evades oversight and responsibility for the murder of Renee Good and the kidnapping of 5-year-old Liam Ramos, who was allegedly used as bait by federal immigration agents during a Minneapolis enforcement action. Funding DHS without transparency signals that abuse and loss of life are acceptable collateral damage.
Now is the time to act. Senators need to hear from their constituents.
