Donald Trump and his administration are still refusing to release long-term federal recovery funding.

Donald Trump is playing politics with Angelenos’ lives, team.

When disaster strikes, families who lose everything deserve help — not political punishment. But that’s exactly what’s happening right now.

Headline from the SF Chronicle titled Will California ever get more federal aid for L.A. County fires? It’s up to Trump

More than a year after catastrophic fires devastated Los Angeles communities, Donald Trump and his administration are still refusing to release long-term federal recovery funding.

Not because the need isn’t urgent.

Not because Congress lacks support.

But because Trump is choosing politics over people.

That’s unacceptable. When disaster strikes, families deserve help, not delays or punishment. Weaponizing disaster relief to score political points is wrong. Full stop. And it leaves Angelenos paying the price.

I’m demanding accountability and pushing for the recovery funding Los Angeles was promised. Our city has done its part. Now the federal government must do theirs.

This fight takes resources, and it’ll take all of us. Pitch in today to help me keep the pressure on, stand up to this administration, and fight for the recovery Angelenos deserve.
