Trump is once again trying to insert himself into the management of a foreign nation.

He recently announced his so-called “Board of Peace,” a self-appointed group of foreign leaders that he would personally control, charged with overseeing what comes next in Gaza. But this isn’t diplomacy: it’s a shake down. Countries can buy their way into permanent membership on this board for $1 billion.

This is more blatant imperialism that only serves to enrich Trump and his ultrawealthy cronies at the expense of vulnerable communities.

At the same time, he continues to back Netanyahu’s military actions while Palestinians endure ongoing violence. He even invited Netanyahu to join the “Board of Peace.” This is not about rebuilding Gaza. This is theft and corruption, plain and simple. We’ve seen this playbook before. It never ends with justice.

Real peace does not come from billion-dollar buy-ins or backroom deals. It comes from respecting human dignity, international law, and the fundamental truth that the future of Palestine must be led by the Palestinian people.
