I have some important news to share with you today:

I am officially running in the special election to represent California’s 1st District.

The passing of Doug LaMalfa has left our communities without a voice in Washington at a critical moment.

While I’m still running in the general election, I feel passionate about giving our community a voice in Congress. This is our chance to send a working-class voice to Washington even sooner than November!

But that also means I’m essentially running two different campaigns in two different districts.

My values are rooted in this land and the people who work it. For twenty years, I have stood with families through wildfires, healthcare crises, and rural neglect. I am running because I believe our district deserves a leader who acts with integrity and answers only to you.

Because I refuse to take a single dime of corporate PAC money, I am relying entirely on people like you to launch this effort. We are establishing a dedicated Special Election Fund today to ensure we have the resources to reach every voter across these old district lines.
