Digital Couriers: How U.S. Anti-Israel Activists Amplify Terror Propaganda

Since Hamas’ deadly 10/7 attacks, analysts from the ADL Center on Extremism have tracked how U.S.-based anti-Zionist activists and groups, including Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) chapters, are amplifying propaganda from Palestinian Foreign Terrorist Organizations and others to promote support for the “resistance” — a euphemistic reference to the various terrorist groups responsible for violent attacks against Israel.

This circulation fuels a broader, dangerous shift: the increased normalization of rhetoric and messaging from terror organizations that overtly encourage acts of violence against Israel and Jewish people.

Read the report for examples, ranging from an SJP chapter in Illinois that shared a video on Instagram showing what appears to be a Hamas terrorist inside the home of an Israeli family during the 10/7 attack, to a ”revolutionary” bookstore in LA that promoted shirts decorated with guns and messages from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

Our new report also provides recommendations for social media companies, Congress and university administrators on how to disrupt the pipeline of terror propaganda dissemination amid a high threat environment.

MAKING PROGRESS WITH ADL

After a devastating arson attack in Mississippi,

ADL’s South Central Regional Director Lindsay Baach Friedmann quickly headed down to provide ADL support.

My time in Jackson and with the leadership of Beth Israel Congregation was both heartbreaking and deeply affirming. In the aftermath of such a traumatic act, it was vital to stand alongside the grieving community to remind them that they were not alone. Providing resources from the ADL Center on Extremism, law enforcement and community partners, we supported Jackson as they processed the fear and pain caused by this antisemitic attack. The Jewish community's strength was unmistakable and served as a unifying force as the entire city responded to this unthinkable act of hate. I was truly honored to stand in solidarity with Beth Israel and privileged to be part of a 110+ year history of
lifting up those targeted by hate.

What’s News

ADL Launches Aggressive State Legislative Agenda: The 2026 state legislative sessions have opened, and ADL is pursuing an aggressive legislative agenda. We are working in at least 29 states on close to 60 bills and initiatives aimed to Prioritize Fighting Antisemitism, Educating About the Jewish Experience and Protecting Jewish Communities. ADL is aggressively working on key legislation to protect our houses of worship, establish antisemitism taskforces, create Title VI coordinators to help protect students, enforce and pass laws to fight masked intimidation and harassment, and fund state nonprofit security grant programs — just to name a few. We are coordinating state lobby days to
empower our volunteers and mobilize the community to come and advocate with us in state capitols. “As antisemitism and extremism continue to impact our communities, ADL is leading the charge with model legislation, working with key lawmakers throughout the country, and leveraging innovation and partnerships to drive effective change,” noted Meredith R. Weisel, ADL’s VP of State and Local Advocacy.

joint survey with the World Union of Jewish Students to the EU Commission’s Working Group to Combat Antisemitism. Members of that EU group were astounded that 78% of Jewish students concealed their Jewish identity. We met with over 40 Special Envoys from European nations and Jewish community leaders at the event, and we secured a cooperation agreement with BESC (the Belgian Jewish security organization) to partner with the ADL Center on Extremism and to help distribute

Modest Gains on Security Funding: The $300 million included for the Nonprofit Security Grant Program for 2026 in Congress’ Homeland Security budget bill represents meaningful progress and growing bipartisan recognition of the real threats facing houses of worship. The House passed this bill today. With the arson attack on a Mississippi synagogue fresh in all of our minds, ADL will continue working with Congress to secure increased funding in the next funding cycle to ensure synagogues and other vulnerable institutions have the protection they need.

A group of influencers who bolster antisemitism with their hateful behavior walk into a club in Miami and request Ye’s “Heil Hitler” song... No, this isn’t the setup of a joke. It actually happened. And guess what? The nightclub shamefully obliged. Why would a nightclub play a song that glorifies Hitler and was banned by multiple streaming platforms? Imagine being Jewish, out for a fun night, and now you’re surrounded by people performing Nazis salutes to a song that glorifies the individual responsible for murdering 6 million other Jews. This is not ok. @vendomemiami — care to explain?

On #MLKDay, we honor the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. As antisemitism and all forms of hate continue to challenge our communities, in the spirit of Dr. King’s vision, we remain committed to the work ahead that’s required from all of us to combat them. I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
