Brave service members risk everything when they are sent abroad — and they
deserve to know their lives are not being gambled away without
accountability.
When our government spends taxpayer dollars on unauthorized military
action, it isn’t just a violation of the law. It’s a betrayal of the
priorities families here at home are counting on, like safe schools,
strong hospitals, and reliable infrastructure.
The American people need leaders who respect the Constitution and do not
send service members into danger without debate, transparency, and a vote
from Congress.
That’s why Congress must reassert its authority and rein in the
President’s unchecked war powers. No president, including Donald Trump,
should be able to escalate military action on their own and drag our
country into another forever war.
My colleagues and I are pushing for War Powers Resolutions right now to
stop the next generation of endless conflict and restore real
accountability, but we need your help.
