Fifty-three years ago today, the Supreme Court affirmed a constitutional right to abortion in Roe v. Wade. That protection was stripped away in 2022, and since then, extremist politicians have relentlessly targeted women’s reproductive health care.
Let me be clear: a woman’s healthcare decisions should be between her and her doctor, not the government.
Since Roe fell, we’ve seen the impact felt most in states that have banned abortion: they’ve seen sharp increases in sepsis, infant deaths, and pregnancy-related deaths.
I’m proud to have defended reproductive rights in my work as Attorney General, including challenging the Trump administration’s attempts to unlawfully defund Planned Parenthood. I know the stakes of protecting reproductive access, and I will always keep fighting for them.
Will you add your name to demand that politicians stop interfering in women’s health care and protect the right to choose?
