Over the last few weeks, we've watched Trump weaponize ICE against the people of Minnesota and communities across the country as a tool of political retribution.

We've truly seen it all: Children and babies tear-gassed, protesters tackled, choked, and pepper-sprayed, US citizens dragged out of their homes and cars at gunpoint, elderly people thrown out in the cold without clothes, cars rammed in the streets by out-of-control ICE agents, arbitrary arrests and detainments, outright racial profiling, civil rights violations galore, and the blatant murder of Renee Good.

It’s time to melt ICE with the fire of democracy. That means:

Blocking any and all funding for ICE

Beginning impeachment hearings for DHS Secretary Kristi Noem

Demanding the arrest of the officer who murdered Renee Good

Passing my bill to end Qualified Immunity for ICE agents so victims can seek justice in civil court
I’m pushing every day for these priorities in Congress, but the truth is that we need a new majority in Washington who is ready to stand up to the wannabee-dicator in the White House and his ICE thugs.

The struggle against ICE is a struggle for civil rights, justice, and decency in America. Authoritarianism is at the door; it’s time to throw out the old playbook and start fighting ICE with fire.
