New Girl Action Team!
Nappy Nerd Presents: Black Girls, Periodt! This joyful, culture-centered creative experience is designed for Black girls in grades 6–12 who are ready to express themselves, explore their identity, care for their mental wellness, and build community through art.
From January to May, participants gather every Tuesday and/ or Thursday evening at Girls For A Change for hands-on mixed-media art, youth-centered literacy, storytelling for social change, and trauma-informed wellness practices. Each month offers a unique theme, supported by dynamic workshops such as Afro-textured portrait collages, freedom zines, feelings maps, social-justice posters, and a May showcase for families.
