I need you to hear this directly from me: I’ll be voting NO on the Homeland Security appropriations bill.

Democrats pushed hard to include necessary and basic accountability measures to ICE, including warrant requirements, body cameras, limits on excessive force, and a ban on the deportation of American citizens.

But Republicans rejected it all. Every single piece of it.

These are the same Republicans that rammed through Trump’s Big Ugly Bill that handed ICE nearly $75 BILLION -- so even if Democrats are successful in blocking this bill, ICE will still be able to operate and continue the chaos.

This much is clear: Today’s GOP will not stand up for the rule of law, or for our Constitutional rights.

It’s also clear that real accountability will require a Democratic majority in the House. I’m committed to fighting for Democratic control so we can finally bring this agency under control -- will you stand with me by chipping in $3 donation today?
