Right now, healthcare is being slashed for the most vulnerable, while extreme enforcement tactics are being funded and expanded. People are being detained aggressively, harmed in public, and denied basic due process.
That is not security.
That is not justice.
And it is not who we are.
Border security matters. Full stop. We can — and must — secure our borders lawfully and humanely. What we’re seeing now goes far beyond that, and it puts our democracy at risk.
As a cop for nearly 30 years, I’ve spent my career standing up for public safety, law enforcement, and the rule of law. I respect those who serve with honor and integrity.
